In-Home Care Assessment
Home Care Angels offers a professional in-home assessment at no cost. Whether at home or in a rehab or long-term care facility, we provide expertise to guide you in choosing the level of care needed.
Companion Care
One of the most important roles a caregiver plays is to be a companion to our clients. As we age, our circle of friends becomes smaller and we become more isolated. Our caregivers start out as companions and as the relationship grows, they become friends and help our clients gain a new level of independence.
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
As we age, we may encounter limitations and need assistance with activities once taken for granted, including anything from brushing teeth to running errands. Our caregivers are trained to give your loved ones the help they need to go through their day safely and comfortably in a dignified manner.
Encouraging Cognitive and Light Physical Activity
Depending on your loved one’s interests and condition, we will keep them mentally and physically stimulated with activities they enjoy, like attending a program for seniors, going for a walk, doing puzzles or playing cards.
Meal Planning and Preparation
To make sure your loved one is getting the nutrition they need, our caregivers plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals, taking into consideration tastes and preferences, as well as swallowing and chewing issues.
Light Housekeeping
For the safety and ease of your loved one, we will keep their living space clean and organized. This includes everyday tasks like dusting, laundry, vacuuming and dishwashing.
Medication Reminders
Did you know that taking medications incorrectly is a common cause of hospital admissions? Our caregivers will keep an eye on your loved one’s medications and remind them when it’s time to take them.
Errands/Grocery Shopping
We’re happy to take care of the grocery shopping and other errands like running to the post office or picking up prescriptions. We are also available to accompany your loved one to doctor’s appointments or social activities.
Client Activity Program
Our newest program is designed to make life as fulfilling and enjoyable for your loved ones as possible. Our Activity Director works hand-in-hand with each client and their family to develop a customized activity program based on their interests and capabilities.
Managing Your Loved One’s Care
When you hire a caregiver through Home Care Angels, you have the security of knowing that your loved one’s day-to-day activities, as well as their Care Plan, are being supervised by our Care Manager who is available to our clients 24/7. A few weeks after your caregiver begins, our Care Manager comes to your loved one’s home for an initial assessment visit and will continue to make visits throughout our stay with your loved one.
